BPH is the non-cancerous enlargement of a prostate, namely a gland that located at the lower portion of the urinary bladder that surrounds the urethra or urine carrying tube. In men who have BPH, the prostate gland gets large enough to squeeze the urine tube that is running through it. There is a hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in the blood, which causes the prostate growth. Avodart is able to lower DHT production in the body and make much smaller the enlarged prostate in the most men. However, this reducing your prostate process and improving your symptoms may take some time.
